Just because men are conventionally limited to short hair does not mean that it’s the dead end of the road when it comes to style and fashion.
Hair styling through time has continuously evolved and cuts and forms keep on piling making the list grow longer season after season.
How a man styles his hair is a statement of his own. It’s a silent approach that talks about the person’s take on self-expression.
Though restructured by the recent times, some haircuts still remained to be well loved and still being worn by men of today.
Here are the classic cuts that became a foundation of current styles we see around.
Bald – The no-show of hair. Ideal for those who have lived an active lifestyle or even for men who are lazy enough to spend time on hair styling.
Burr – Another no-maintenance type of hair. More like of the outgrow from of the bald style.
Butch – Shorter version of crew cut that is about 1’4 inches in length.
Caesar – A vintage cut that’s named after Julius Caesar. It’s a short hairstyle, measuring about 1 – 2 inches all over the head with a whip of slight fringes at the front. This is a kind of cut ideal for covering a receding hairline.
Crew Cut – Shorter version of the regular cut and called alternatively as brush cut. In this style, the top is faded from front to crown while the top hair forms a slight curve following the natural shape of the head.
Faux Hawk – Toned down version of Mohawk since it does not come with shaved sides. This is a tapered cut wherein the hair running from the front to back is styled erected.
Flattop – It is a short haircut that’s combed way up and stresses flatness. Hair on the sides is also cut to create a square look.
Pompadour – This is a long hairstyle that is brushed up high from the forehead down to the back. This style is being secured by a generous amount of styling hold.
