Old and useless Lipstick no more!

Red Lip Stick Collage

Do you have an old lipstick that you don’t use anymore? Or how many times have you cleaned one of your old bags or your old make up kit and only to find a lipstick inside it? You open it and realize that it’s still not past its due date.

Here are some ideas on how you can repurpose your lipstick:

You can turn and old lipstick to a tinted lip balm. Just mix a chunk of the lipstick with a clear lip balm using a spoon or a clean makeup spatula, then transfer the mixture to a small, clean container. And now you have a new colored lip balm. You will get soft, hydrated lips, with a hint of your favorite shade.

You can also make your own lip gloss. If the tube of lipstick you forgot is a little too dark for your skin or it is not your type of shades and you don’t want to use it ever, you can still make it more wearable. Just scrape off a bit of the lipstick and mix it with some clear gloss or just petroleum jelly. This will complete it out. Do the mixing on the back of your hand, to warm up the product, making application smoother.

Running out of blush on? You use your old lipstick as a cream blush. Just try it with your cheeks and take some of the product on the back of your hand. Add a drop or two of your facial oil and mix them together. Use your fingers or a brush and apply your new long-wearing cream blush on your cheeks.
You can layer it with your new shade of lipstick. Just mix your old lipsticks with your currently using, be creative and create new shades. And no need to buy more lipsticks.

You can also use it to cover your tattoo. Yes! A red lipstick can hide those tattoos. Just apply it on the area that you want to hide. The red hue of the lipstick will serve as a neutralizer. And once it sets, apply a full-coverage concealer and some powder, and your tattoo will be disappearing in no time just easy as that!
