Fashion must-knows for the stocky, stout guys

stiut

While the whole fashion industry is dominated by well-toned, chiseled and buff men, we must stick with the logic that fashion is for everyone. We have seen the gym rats sashaying the runway, being printed on gargantuan billboards and just an eye candy by every fashion critic because of the fact that almost all types of wear suits them perfectly.

This might be true, yes, but we should not discount the fact that not all guys out there are of the same mold as supermodels. We should all respect the inescapable truth that most of the clothes worn by godlike male models are just fighting for them, but how about the average Joes who just can’t have the luxury of working out, specifically the stockily-built, stout dudes?

When a guy is stout and short, they must be dressed in such a way that they will look taller. The very first bet that they should be picking is the vertical-printed garment which will give an illusion of an unbroken line which all ends at the face. For girls who will shop for their boyfriends, it will be a must that you’d pick the wide verticals rather than the thin ones as this conforms to the male body even after bends and movements.

Creating a clean and unlayered look would be deemed best, as you don’t want to add any more clutter on the overall look. Pick prints that are dominated with dark hues such as blue and black with a white or lighter backdrop. Make the illusion work as nicely as possible by not putting any more garments aside from the main one; again, get layering out of the picture.

If picking a shirt, ensure that the size is at least one notch bigger than the actual. Keep in mind that shirts must be loose enough to be tucked in and flexible enough when you move. Shirts that are larger than your built might be an antithesis to your aim in looking a bit slimmer but it would be definitely better than a cramped-looking abdomen or shoulders exploding out of your shirt.

It might also be a necessary thought to pick clothing that is thicker or stiffer in nature since you want to avoid wearing a shirt that looks like your second skin. Same as the one mentioned, solid and bold colors for shirts should be the option to choose, and if it is unavoidable that you’d wear something with print on it, pick geometric shapes, designs that are lines oriented and concentrated on the middle of the shirt’s front.

When it comes to wearing jackets, mostly anything would do as long as the garment that would be used would be not too thin and not too bulky. Forties stay on the thin ones and prints that are not ‘all over the place’. V-shaped shirts would also do the trick of giving you longer than width. Ideally, stocky and stout guys must just stay away from any type of garment, which would add more weight to the eye. Get the colors and prints correctly and match it like how a normal guy would do it, then you’re pretty much on your way into being fashionable-correct and on-trend too.
