The 21-year-old Canadian Heartthrob admits he would like to have his own fashion label one day, naming the famous rapper Kanye West’s transition from being just an artist to designer as an inspiration.
Justin has been remarkable for his presence at a number of catwalk shows over the last year and this includes Kanye West’s recent Autumn-Winter 2015 presentation for Adidas Originals x Kanye West at the New York Fashion Week.
He has also been always present at the MET Ball, an annual charity fundraiser for the Metropolitan Museum in New York organized by Vogue editor-in-chief Anna Wintour and now it is also considered as something of a fashion parade itself.
During his recent visit to Hong Kong, Justin Bieber, who models underwear for Calvin Klein, told in an interview that his interest in the fashion industry has been keen and he would be interested in designing clothes in the near future.
Justin Bieber wants to design menswear and street wear. Justin was quoted in Hong Kong as saying he is “really into, like, drapy things, drapy sweaters, layering pieces.” Lately the reports said that Justin he has been preparing for this fashion design collection by learning about styling and the fabric quality.
Justin Bieber wants to follow the footsteps of Kanye West by releasing his own fashion line too, but he’s hoping to improve upon Kanye’s business model first. “I know Kanye has been working on his stuff for years and failed and came back and tried again and failed.
It’s about trial and error, and I don’t know if I’m ready for that yet. Fashion’s definitely really important, but I got to make sure I’m ready for the failing part of it, because I know that comes with it,” he said.
Regardless of everything, Justin Bieber is willing to go into the fashion world because he finally understood Kanye West’s fashion experience.
