When the temperature gets intense and the heat is getting bothersome, chances are all you can ever think of is how to cool off. That’s probably why when the pasture turns brown and the summer comes, many has turned their attention to pastels, wearable whites, and other light colors. Wearing dark colors are slightly frowned upon because, “My, my aren’t you getting hot?”
While it is true that bright and light colors are the usual colors of this season, turning your back on other dark colors is a choice I hope you don’t completely do. Yes, they are for fall season, but who cares about the rules right now when these colors just turns out to be just as glamorous during the summer? With that being said, let’s start exploring the dark side shall we?
Red
When the streets are being swarmed upon by salmon pinks and baby blues, one way to stand out is by wearing red. Certainly eye-catching, the attitude of this color is hard to ignore.
It is definitely fierce and undeniably hot. There are a lot of shades of red you can choose from; from mauve to crimson, you can crank up the heat with this color. (That is figuratively speaking don’t worry.)
If you’re worried about the heat, you can counter it with the style of your outfit. Choose loose clothing pieces or make it softer by pairing it with light neutrals preferably cream or beige.
Blue
Blue is the color you won’t be disappointed to wear this summer. Just like red, blue is a sure head-turner.
There are a variety of ways you can keep up with style with blue and being the shade of denim; it certainly helps the cause as denims are currently on trend.
From light washed denim to navy blue, be sure to have in your wardrobe.
Green
One can say that green is the color of all season. From mint to deep green, it passes on from seasons to seasons and looking great at each time.
This color is could be worn to look classic and elegant to simple and chic depending on the shades of green you choose from. Fortunately, it looks good on any skin tone so you don’t have to worry.
For this summer, wear green in trending styles of midi skirt to flowing dress, preferably in the shade of army green. This color flocks the runways and street, so don’t fear going out of style.
