We never saw it coming. There we were going through Instagram posts of the stars we follow when bam! A post about one of the most loved fashion brands, Marc Jacobs caught us in awe. Who wouldn’t? Behold for Cher was chosen to become one of the brand’s face for its current 2015 campaign – now this is no hoax for the big reveal came from Jacobs’ stylist Katie Grand.
It definitely came into surprise when the beans were spilled revealing that the diva and legend Cher will be the face of their Fall2015 Collection. This is not new to the said fashion house though. It is remembered that Marc Jacobs opt for endorsers that comes with big and diverse personalities like Victoria Beckham, Kate Moss, Miley Cyrus, Dakota Fanning, Jessica Lange and Winona Ryder. We should’ve read the signs though. If only we have followed the clues dropped before our eyes when we first saw Marc being accompanied by the magnanimous Cher in the recent Met Gala…
The 69 year old Hollywood star looked captivating in a photo shoot donned with red back ground that allows the clothes she wore to be pushed in front focus. The coat and dress she wore screams intricate details and eccentric elegance while the insane hair in which she was well known for speaks fash-yown. Now this is glamour in its highest form personified.
The idea alone of Cher being listed in the roster of Jacobs’ 2015 face is yelling ultimate and super. And definitely, this was translated well enough on the photo shoot conducted by photographer David Sims.
Thanks to the photos that ‘leaked’ through the World Wide Web, the face of the fashion planet was left open mouthed with this wonderful shocker. The whole collection is still in the works though but with this magnanimous buzz, can we safely say that the collection will translate to satisfying sales upon release? Let’s find out.
