What is the difference between these two fashion terms? It seems that both mean the same thing all of them are pants, that is how men would look at it but for the women it is a different scenario. Men always quote women as those who complicate things but in reality on this aspect of fashion that could be a real statement.
These two terms originated from the term “Leggings”, leggings are a type of pants that are skin-tight and are made out of spandex, nylon, cotton, and can also be made out of polyester, silk and other materials. Leggings are invented all for women’s comfort because the choice of its textile mostly is breathable fabrics.
They could be worn with a long blouse, or with a skirt or shorts beneath, leggings are normally ankle cut because of all these considerations further innovations are done such as the Jeggings. Jeggings differ from treggings in a couple of things.
The term Jeggings is a combination of leggings and the word jeans, Jeggings are also made out of the same material such as the leggings but the design looks like jeans, in essence these are made to look like jeans while treggings still is a combination of terms from leggings and “trousers”.
Trousers are normally worn by men and not by women, trousers are also a type of pants an outer garment that covers the entire leg so unlike Jeggings which are ankle cut pants, Treggings would mean to have a lengthier fabric and has various of designs from polka dots to various colour combinations.
So to sum it up Women’s fashion has stretched its scope due to many innovations being done, such formula as this Leggings + Jeans = Jeggings while on the other hand Leggings + Trousers= Treggings.
Both came from the same fabric selection but varies from it design. Though certain variations apply to these two pants still both fall into the same function and that is to give women comfort and luxury.
