The Girls’ Guide into Rocking the Moto Jackets

Moto Jackets

What with the fashion industry’s multibillion-dollar global enterprise, the business of making and selling clothes from ready-to-wears to couture pieces is indeed booming. Every day, threads are weaved, fabrics are sewn, and clothe pieces are added to collections of famous haute couturiers down to boutique lines in malls.

The competitive field needs brilliant minds in thinking ideas that are out of the box. For many years, they proliferate in crossing the lines of the conventional and ventured into the unknown.

One of these is the flourishing of moto jackets’ popularity for women.

Motorcycle jackets or “moto jackets” is a trend that wax and wanes through time. If you’re hoping to make a fashion statement out of these jackets, wearing it over the usual white T-shirt with faded jeans is a big no-no.

You have to consider what you are going for in order to look stylish and feminine at the same time. The color, fabric, and accessories all play important roles to achieve just the right look.

Moto jackets are mostly associated with the badass attitudes.

To look rugged and enticingly dangerous, wearing black leather moto jackets over white, midriff-baring tube tops is the classic style. Pair it with black skinny jeans and ankle boots; you’re ready for some ‘70s rock ‘n rolling.

On the other hand, we keep on looking on the other side of the spectrum.

Moto jackets are also available in bright colors to bring out your fun-tastic side. Such color is orange. It goes well with any shades of white. Pair it with blue for the accessories or your heels for contrast. However, you may not want to overdo it – unless you’re attending a carnival-themed parade (On the last note, avoid pairing your orange moto jacket with black, because you know why).

Women will go for neutral-colored moto jackets if sleek and elegant are their styles – yes, moto jackets could be elegant as well. So, if you’re one of those girls that is no nonsense, but is looking for some little kind of rebellion, abandon the dress and let loose your inner goddess even for just a short time. Or better yet, don it over the dress.

To look more professional and elegant at the same time, opt for a more refined texture such as linen and wool in the color of ivory or purple. You can pair it with pencil skirts or tan pants and you’re ready for the corporate world.

However if you’re looking for street fashion that is laidback in style, moto jackets made of cotton or corduroy is your choice, then layer it with tee and casual pants.

There are lots of ways in experimenting with your looks using the moto jackets. Since it’s an enduring classic, there are always one or two pieces available in malls or even thrift shops.

However, when it is really out of the season, you can always turn to our modern day fairy godmother – the Internet.
